{"id":2613,"date":"2018-09-11T10:04:52","date_gmt":"2018-09-11T10:04:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lorom.com\/?p=2613"},"modified":"2018-10-19T09:58:15","modified_gmt":"2018-10-19T09:58:15","slug":"lorom-exit-automotive-operation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lorom.com\/zh-hans\/2018\/lorom-exit-automotive-operation\/","title":{"rendered":"Lorom Exit Chinese Tier 1 Automotive Operation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>News Release<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lorom announce strategic withdrawal from Chinese Automotive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>7<sup>th<\/sup>September 2018<\/p>\n<p>TPE \u2013 Taiwan \u2013 Lorom Industries, a technological leader in the design and manufacture of high-quality cable harnesses &amp; assemblies today reported a strategical withdrawal from tier 1 automotive production.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese automotive (tier 1) division of Lorom, has received significant resource during its 7 years in operation and has been unable to demonstrate a positive return on investment during that time, claims the company president Thomas Yuan. \u201cDespite all efforts to continue our activity, the difficult decision has been made to strategically withdraw from this business which will more importantly allow additional resource to be directed to the more sustainable and profitable areas of our operation.
